Interesting facts about the hospital
The Barham Koondrook Soldiers Memorial Hospital was built with significant community contribution post war, and opened in 1955 by NSW governor, to commemorate the services of men and women of our district who served in WW2.
The hospital has a very active Auxiliary, which raises funds for medical equipment etc. The well-equipped hospital has been upgraded on a number of occasions, notably in 2012 Barham Community Health was relocated in a new building to upgrade their facilities and is attached to the hospital. Also a new Palliative Care Suite has been added which caters for families of Palliative care patients.
Eliza House is a residential aged care facility also attached to the hospital, with 10 beds.
