There are less than 5 days to submit an application for the Ochre Rural Health Scholarship for 2014.
The scholarship provides $2,000 to assist the successful applicant cover costs related to their studies in health.
Ochre Health supplies medical and nursing services to eight rural hospitals in Barham, Boggabri, Bourke, Brewarrina, Collarenebri, Coonamble, Condobolin, and Lightning Ridge.
The scholarship is open to students that completed their secondary schooling in these eight towns and have been accepted or are currently completing a health related tertiary course.
The Ochre Rural Health Scholarship for 2013 was awarded to Ethan Johnson who is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at University of Western Sydney.“I really appreciate the help that Ochre Health is providing to me personally as a student, and as an ex-resident of Brewarrina. In the future, I plan to return to rural Australia. Rural Health is and always will be a major concern for me as well as Indigenous Health” said Ethan Johnson.
Applications close on the 14th February 2014 with the successful applicant being announced on the 28th of February 2014.
