Bathurst is officially open for business. With no wait time to see a doctor and friendly reception and nursing staff, patients visiting the clinic for the first time are reporting a pleasant experience. The Bathurst practice is on the Charles Sturt University campus and the team attended the CSU Market Day, part of O-Week which is the Orientation Week for new students, for the first time meeting those who are staying on campus.

Torquay Road Surgery in Hervey Bay Queensland will officially become part of the Ochre Health Network on Monday and is now our 6th practice in Queensland. This established practice is situated in a picturesque location with Fraser Island just off the Queensland Coast.
With the acquisition of these practices Ochre Health is helping to bring more opportunity for employment to these areas with positions available for doctors, nurses and reception staff as well as allied health professionals.

To wrap up the week our CEO John Burns is off to the UK for some meet and greets and applications are drawing to a close for the 2015 Rural Health Scholarships.

The Rural Health Scholarship is now in its 3rd year. For 2015 we have introduced the Indigenous Rural Health Scholarship. Both scholarships are valued at $2000. The winners will be announced Friday 6th March 2015.
